초록

PREMIS는 OAIS의 개념적 프레임워크의 한계를 넘어 보존 실무에 적용할 수 있도록 개발되었지만, 각 메타데이터 요소들을 실제 데이터와 어떻게 연결시킬 것인지에 대한 사례와 지침이 명확하지 않아 디지털 아카이브에서 실제 보존 메타데이터를 설계하거나 구현하는데 어려움이 있다. 이에 본 연구는 다양한 디지털 아카이브의 환경에서 디지털 자원을 관리하고 보존의 목적으로 활용되고 있는 PREMIS 3.0 기반의 보존 메타데이터 실제 사례들을 조사하고 보존 메타데이터 구현 및 설계를 위한 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 분석 결과를 토대로 PREMIS의 응용프로파일 지침에 따라 디지털 아카이브의 보존 메타데이터 설계 시 고려할 수 있는 보존 메타데이터 요소들을 제안하였다.

Abstract

The development of the Preservation Metadata: Implementation Strategies (PREMIS) aims to preserve practices beyond the limits of the Open Archival Information System (OAIS) conceptual framework; however, the examples and guidelines on connecting each metadata element to the actual data are unclear, making the design of preservation metadata in real digital archives difficult. Hence, this study investigates actual PREMIS 3.0-based preservation metadata management cases, preserves digital resources in various digital archive environments, and derives implications for the implementation and design of preservation metadata. Based on the analysis, the study proposes preservation metadata elements that can be considered when designing preservation metadata for digital archives according to PREMIS 3.0 application profile guidelines.

본 연구는 다양한 기록관리 환경에서 기록의 진본성을 확보하고 기록의 생애 주기 동안 기록을 진본인 상태로 유지할 수 있는 진본성 온톨로지 모델을 제안하고자 한다. IntePARES 3 프로젝트의 연구내용을 바탕으로 구축한 진본성 기록 메타데이터인 IPAM(InterPARES Authenticity Metadata) 참조모델의 특징을 분석해보고, IPAM 모델을 적용하여 온톨로지를 구축하고 기록물 사례를 통해 적용 가능한 전자기록물 진본성 온톨로지 모델을 제안하고자 한다. 제안한 온톨로지 모델링은 IPAM이 제시하는 기록물의 생애주기에 생산되는 다양한 메타데이터 정보의 입력 및 관리를 가능하게 하는 도구를 개발하는 데 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Abstract

The study aims to present authenticity ontology required for capturing information about digital record’s identity and integrity over the course of the lifecycle. To this end, we analyzed the functional requirements, domain model, and sample properties of the IPAM (InterPARES Authenticity Metadata), Based on IPAM, we proposed an ontology for authenticity of digital records with sample records. The suggested ontology modeling can be utilized as the basis for establishing an authenticity information creation and management tool for digital records.

전자기록물의 유형은 다양해지고 있으며, 기능성이나 사용자와의 상호작용을 포함하며 여러 종류의 전자기록으로 구성된 기록물인 복합전자기록물들이 증가하고 있다. 복합전자기록물의 지속적인 접근을 보장하기 위해서는 아카이빙을 지원할 수 있는 메타데이터 구축이 필수적이다. 본 연구는 이러닝 콘텐츠인 복합전자기록물의 아카이빙을 위한 메타데이터 요소를 설계하여 제안하였다. 국내외의 장기보존을 위해 설계된 포맷 레지스트리의 구성요소를 비교 분석하여 디지털 아카이빙에 필수적인 공통 메타데이터 요소를 도출하고, 간호 분야 이러닝 콘텐츠의 보존 속성을 조사, 분석하여 이를 반영할 수 있도록 메타데이터 요소를 확장, 추가하였다. 분석결과를 통해 복합전자기록물 아카이빙을 지원하는 메타데이터 상위요소 25개와 138개의 하위요소가 제안되었다.

Abstract

Electronic record types are becoming diverse, and “composite electronic records,” which are made up of various types of electronic records associated with functionality or user interaction that does not exist in current electronic document formats, are increasing. To ensure a continuous access to composite electronic records, metadata construction is a prerequisite for electronic records archiving. In this paper, we propose a metadata that can support archiving of composite electronic records associated with interactive functionality. The common elements were derived from an analysis of both domestic and international file format registry projects, and metadata elements related to functional requirements were identified from the analysis of the records on nursing education e-learning contents. We proposed the metadata elements for archiving composite electronic records, which consist of 25 high-level elements and 138 subelements.

본 연구의 목적은 문화유산 관련 기관에서 개별적으로 관리하고 있는 문화유산 정보자원을 보다 일반인에게 쉽게 접근하고 활용성을 높일 수 있는 문화유산 아카이브 통합 서비스 방안을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 국내 문화유산을 관리, 보존하고 있는 문화재청 소속기관의 아카이브 현황을 분석하고 활용가치가 높은 문화유산 정보자원의 통합 서비스를 위해 다중개체 모형의 문화유산 메타데이터 모델을 제안하고 국내외 데이터 연계 모델 표준의 적용가능성을 검토하였다.

Abstract

This study aims to suggest the ways of integrated services for Cultural Heritage Archives that belong to the Cultural Heritage Administration. To this end, the study analyzed the archives of major affiliated organizations of the Cultural Heritage Administration that manage and preserve Korean cultural assets. A cultural asset metadata based on the multiple entity model and applicable data link model standard was suggested for the integrated service of high-value–added cultural heritage information resources.

본 연구는 세계기록유산으로 등재된 국채보상운동 디지털 아카이브 기록물의 활용성을 높이기 위한 방안으로 위키데이터와 연계하는 데이터 모델을 설계하고, 적용가능성을 검토하였다. 국채보상운동 기록물 메타데이터, 시소러스, 시맨틱 네트워크 그래프를 분석하여 시사점을 도출하고, 기록물의 내용 분석을 통해 위키데이터와 연계를 위한 데이터 모델의 클래스인 기록물건, 행위주체, 시간, 장소, 사건을 도출하였다. 또한 클래스 간 연결을 위한 관계 속성들을 파악하여, 설계한 데이터 모델을 실제 기록물 사례에 적용해봄으로써, 속성을 중심으로 한 객체 간의 이동을 통해 풍부한 관련 정보들을 획득할 수 있는 가능성을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 소규모 로컬 아카이브에서 위키데이터를 활용한 데이터의 공유와 활용 체계 마련에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Abstract

This study designed a data model linked to Wikidata and examined its applicability to increase the utilization of the digital archive records of the National Debt Redemption Movement, registered as World Memory Heritage, and implications were derived by analyzing the existing metadata, thesaurus, and semantic network graph. Through analysis of the original text of the National Debt Redemption Movement records, key data model classes for linking with Wikidata, such as record item, agent, time, place, and event, were derived. In addition, by identifying core properties for linking between classes and applying the designed data model to actual records, the possibility of acquiring abundant related information was confirmed through movement between classes centered on properties. Thus, this study’s result showed that Wikidata’s strengths could be utilized to increase data usage in local archives where the scale and management of data are relatively small. Therefore, it can be considered for application in a small-scale archive similar to the National Debt Redemption Movement digital archive.
